Anyone have any idea what an "MSSQL_STACK_OVERFLOW" attack is? I'm getting
a lot of them of late. Aside from a firewall, what else can be done about
them? Thanks!

What makes you think a that a Stack Overflow is a virus and NOT just a bug in the SQL code ?

Your quoting is defective. It would have emailed you, but your email adress
is also defective. Please fix that.

Is your personal firewall telling you this? Personal firewalls will
sometimes call any internet background noise an "attack" of
some sort.

It may indeed be an attack against vulnerable machines, so
I would ask in a firewall related group if you're really curious.
I'm getting a lot of them of late.

I'm not saying that this is the case here, but firewalls can
sometimes provide a false sense of insecurity. ;o)
Aside from a firewall, what else can be done about them?

Aside from blocking what comes a knocking, what would you
want to do about them? Log the attempts so that you can tell
the originating provider(s) about the problem?

It may be cracking, or may be wormsign. Have you Googled
the message yet?
