mso9.dll error on startup

I am getting this error message on starting up power point 2000 on a Windows
ME machine. I have all updates applied to the operating system and have
deleted and reinstalled Office 2000 Premium and applied all the patches.

The error message is Powerpnt has caused an error in MSO9.DLL. Powerpnt
will now close.

Does anyone have a solution to this.

Nuts. I had a look for additional mso9.dll info that may not be included
in the link B provided, but I didn't see anything relevant.

Did you try that last thing about replacing that DLL file? It might be
worth a shot.
