I am receiveing a message that I have the msnarrator.exe
virus from Norton AV 2004 whenever I open IE. I have the
latest version and there are no updates available from
the Windows Update site.
This virus was only discovered by Symantec December
30th. I have followed all the instructions to remove the
virus and have performed a full system scan in both safe
and regular modes. No files are found to contain a
virus. However, this problem continues whenever I ope
IE. I have also scanned the iexplorer.exe file, but no
virus was found in this file. I do not know what other
files (I would imagine that there are many) are
associated with IE to look at to find where the virus is
being created from.
Would anyone have any ideas on where to start looking to
find out why this is occuring? I am fairly computer
knowledgable and have worked with regedit before to make
changes as needed.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
