I recently installed XP SP2 and would like to try and view video from MSN.com.
Needing some help please. I don't think that SP2 is the cause, because I have
had trouble viewing msn video in the past too.

When I connect to video.msn.com and select a clip to play, I see a black video
screen flash for a second and then nothing. The video does not play. I
installed WMP10 to see if this would help and it did not.

I see "transitioning", then "reconnecting" in the wmp portion of the page,
then a quick flash of a black video screen. Some times I see a message that
it is playing my clip, but this is for a very brief second.

I reset all of my internet explorer preferences to default. No changes

I unintalled Spybot S&D, as I thought this may be interfering. No change.

I disabled outpost 2.1 firewall and kaspersky 4.5 av personal to see if this
would make a difference? No change.

I unintalled IE and reinstalled using add/remove windows components. No
change, but I don't think the files were truly unintalled. When reinstalled,
it was added back a little to quickly to convince me it was a fresh install.

I have popup blocking turned off. No changes

I know my router is setup ok, as I can view videos normally on my XP laptop and
second desktop running SP1.

Any ideas to help me out? I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Filo
