MSN toolbar/ Window Desktop

I've downloaded the new toolbar and the desktop search with it. I'm quite
satisfied with the search desktop since its easy to use. But I'm unhappy with
the toolbar. The "tabbing feature" made me remember the IE 7.0 and I was
hoping that somehow it could be as flawless as that( I had to "click" more
than I expected). Anyways I'd also like to hear your comments. Thanks.

I unclicked everything but the "change" button in the toolbar. The "tabbing"
was just added recently and I unclicked it immediately. To me the "tabbing"
appears to be one of the most useless things ever added.

I downloaded the MSN toolbar.

When installing it, I asked for no toolbar to display in IE. Now I would
like to see what it looks like before I decide whether or not to disable it.
But I can't turn it on, no matter what I try

I also installed the weather addin, but I can't see it anywhere.

I use Windows XP Home SP2 and IE6

RightClick on the toolbar and you should see the "MSN SearchToolbar" not
marked. Click on it.

Thanks, Frank

That works for the desktop Search Bar. But what I am talking about is the
Seacrh Bar in IE. Ther is no option in IE to activate it.

Also, I don't know what happened to the weather addin.

I am thinking of uninstalling it and installing it again. I seem to
remember that there was an option when installing to set whether to use the
search bar in IE

RightClick then customize. Search bar is in this. Is that what you are
looking for?

No, I am completely lost.

If I right click on Search Desktop icon it is as If I am right clicking on
any other part of the taskbar.

If I right click on the hour glass, I get some options such as
Index Now
Desktop Search Options...
Help
Search Now
Exit

Customise isn't one of them

What I am looking for is the IE Search Bar and Weather, not the Desktop
Search Bar. I can get this (Desktop Search Bar) quite easily by selecting it
from Toolbars on the right click options.

I'm lost now also. When you say " IE Search Bar and Weather, not the
Desktop
Search Bar" it looks like you are using the new toolbar search. Right click
on an open area of the toolbar and you will see "MSN SearchToolbar" with a
click next to it. If it is not clicked you will not see the new search.

The IE search and Desktop search are part of the new search. There is a
click
mark next to the search xxx where you can chose "web" or "desktop" with
further
detail for either type.

The weather is an addition to the new search.

Right click on the hour glass and then Desktop Search Options and it puts
you on a screen where you chose whatever else you want; including weather.

Thanks for the help.

What I was trying to say is that I thought MSN Search Toolbar was available
inside Internet Explorer *as well as* on the desktop.

I have activated the desktop search O.K. by clicking on MSN SearchToolbar
and I get a desktop search window. I can see that there is an option to
choose to search "web" or "desktop" which is fine.

However, weather is not available in this search window. If I can't get it
to work, I probably won't worry too much though as I have a link to the
Canberra Times weather, which is local (I live in Canberra) and also to ABC
Weather (ABC is our Australian National TV and Radio broadcaster).

Also when I open IE, the MSN SearchToolbar isn't available. If it is not
meant to be there, that that is fine, too. I just thought that it was meant
to be there.
