msn popups

A little more information would be useful. Try first installing/updating
and running the following:

and SpyWare Blaster - http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

That's a start, but try and tell us more specifically about the popups
you're getting, also, if you use Msn Messenger, disable as much of the
advertising as you can. For example there are options to display the
"MSN Today" Pages...

There are several different types of popups.

First, update your software. From the headers of your post ...

This ancient version will auto execute many forms of malware, allowing
your computer to be infected just by viewing a message.

Once you've updated your software, try running an online virus scan.
