Beware of a new MSN Messenger virus going around. MSN
Messenger will start a conversation from someone who
already has a virus, and the top line will say "ROFL, is
this you?" and the second line will be a link to
"http://dba.hitsnow.us/pictures.php?email=" Then your MSN
Messenger e-mail address. If you click the link, an MS-DOS
application will ask permission to download. From what a
friend says what happens (He says it happened to him, and
is how I heard about it) is it erases your computer, and
sends the same MSN Message that you got to everyone else in
your box

So your computer disappears? If so will my home owners insurance cover
this? Is this considered theft? Should I contact the police?

So many questions!

We have a neighborhood listserv and one of the current hot topics is
homeowners insurance. I suppose this might be like water-damage. The
policy covers damage from water--either pipes burst or roof leaking, and if
the computer was under the leak....

I doubt that anyone covers miscellaneous perils "leaking" in from the
Internet, though!

.Give my regards to it, thank MS and there wonderful
applications so YOU can enjoy supporting your local
retailers selling antispyware and AV programs in order to
protect their cherished IE and messenger service.....

How much did you pay for Microsoft Antispyware?

Have you ever used an IM app to receive a binary from another user?
