MSN Messenger, MSN8

I'm using XP Home SP1.My ip connection is DSL with MSN8.
When I sign out and close MSN8,the MSN messenger hangs
up. The status of the messenger is signing out and then
the messenger freezes. I have to restart the computer to
close the messenger.
 
Yes, I can use the Task Manager, but the messenger stays
in the Signing Out process and I have to reboot before I
can access my internet connection.
 
Task manager will kill the process completely. there should be no UI
reminder of the application after you have it killed. Does logging out and
logging back in do anything
