Does anyone know how to remove the MSN Messenger that comes bundled w/ XP?
At a high school, we have a teacher that has removed it from programs by
going to Add/Remove Programs > Windows Components. He says though, that
when a specific student/user logs onto the computer that MSN reloads??? Any
help is appreciated!

If you go into administrative tools in the control panel, and choose
services, on the right you will find a list of executable services, go down
until you find messenger. Right click it and go to properties. Under the
general tab, it has a "service status" indicator, below it press "stop",
then in the drop down box labeled Startup type, select Disabled. Hit OK and
restart the computer. It should not open.

You are think about two different programs. Windows Messenger is included
with Windows XP. MSN Messenger is a free download for XP that is not
included.
