Hi!
I've an domain throught Windows Server 2003 and I need to block ports to
denied access to msn messenger to all pc's.
I tried to unlock, in router's firewall, TCP & UDP ports and URL but I still
login in MSN.
How I unlock this?

Thanks!

what url, what ports, what did you try?

Make sure you are blocking the proper ports for outbound traffic. It is also
possible that it is tunneling through http which makes it difficult to stop
via the firewall though you can use Group Policy to disable it on the user's
computer. Look at the settings under user configuration/administrative
templates/Windows components/Windows messenger. Software Restriction
Policies are also another possibility to disable unauthorized software with
path and has rules.

The ports that I unlock in router's firewall are:
TCP 1863
UDP 1503 / 3389 / 5004~65535
The URL that has unlock is *.messenger.hotmail.com

Unfortunately, I don't have ISA so I'm limited to router's firewall...

Thks!
