Is it possible to eliminate definitely the banner in msn 6.1?

If not, I'm going to change IM software....

Thank You

Greetings Tachyon,

Yes you can however, keep in mind that these "annoying ads" pay for the service that you're
using. Not only could they be made more "annoying" then the small animated gifs that they
are now (for example, AOL Instant Messenger now adds sounds to their advertisements), but
they could also end up in the actual conversation windows (like ICQ).

If you really "must" remove these, you can use a third-party utility like Messenger Plus
(http://www.msgplus.net). However, keep in mind if Messenger ever becomes a pay service, you
may be partly responsible.

Thank You, for your kind answer, Jonathan!

So, You really think that a good way to evaluate a service is to say "others
do worse"?
Or You think that the corp You work for really needs money for IM service?

Well, I don't think so: Msn Messenger is a good program, but I don't want
any annoying ad, that's all.

And, please, don't make me "partly responsible" for an economic strategy
that is actually already designed...(I refer to the move to make Messenger a
pay service).

Regards.
