Sorry if this issue has already been handled here for a million times:

I'm using MSN Messenger 4.6.0079 on a Win98 system (not XP!). I want to
install MSN Messenger 6 (well I don't really *want to but do I have a
choice?) but I want to be sure I'm doing this right.

1. Do I need to remove v4.6 or should I keep it? I've read something about
having to keep it because of some necessary functions, but I think that was
about Windows Messenger 4.x.
2. If I install v6 aside of v4.6, how do I keep the old version from running
automatically when I start Outlook Express?
3. Any other things I should keep in mind?

Anyone? Jonathan?

TIA,

JV

Jonathan,

thank you.

JV

Greetings JV,

1. MSN Messenger 6 will upgrade MSN Messenger 4.6 on Windows 98 -- you can remove it before
hand if you like, but you don't need to.
2. You can't (well, not without absolutely "forcing" it) -- MSN Messenger 6 on Windows 98
will integrate into Outlook Express.
3. There are some problems that you may encounter with MSN Messenger 6 (especially
voice-related issues), but otherwise you shouldn't have any problems.
