I have found out anti spyware does not erase tracks on my
machine. I am running windows 2000 professional. Wonder
why the erase tracks feature does not work???

It´s a bug within erase tracks.

Try this excellent "tracks eraser" and crap cleaner.

Note that you have three tabs for different cleaning mechanism.
