msn 7.5 issues with windows xp media center edition?

hey guys, whenever i started a video conversation my sound was really high
pitched. i reinstalled msn 7.5 which temporarily fixed the problem. I started
another video conversation and everything was fine until i attempted to
download a video file. as i started watching it, the video and sound started
playing in high-speed and now all of my sound is permanately high pitched
again, but only when i start up a video conversation. i was just wondering if
anyone was experiencing the same problem. thanks :)

All I know is that adding a webcam has an affect on using xp media center.
As I was reloading my entire pc, I kept checking the media center 'live TV'.
It was fine until I added a webcam. Now I have to try several times before
'live TV' works. I'm sure it has something to do with the video codecs.
