Win XP Home...

How can I stop this exe from getting launched ?

It's like that robot in the "Terminator"......
I'd kill it in Task Manager, minutes later it's there again......

It's not a "absolutely required" piece for XP to function, is it ?
Why then does MS insists on running it w/o asking the user then ????

Thanks

Start the Messenger and in Tools > Options disable "Run this program
when Windows starts" and "Allow this program to run in the
background". Close the Messenger.
Run REGEDIT.EXE and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express. Insert a new
DWORD entry
Hide Messenger
here and set it to a value of
2
