msiinstaller and daily crashes

hi all,

starting a few days ago my computer reboots inself around 3:00 am
every morning.
i've checked for viruses and such but all seems normal.
the only thing i found is that right around the same time (apparently
just before it crashes) i have these 2 events in the
application log:

error - id 10005
Product: Microsoft XML Parser and SDK -- The installer has encountered
an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a
problem with this package. The error code is 2103. The arguments are:
26, ,

information - id 11708
Product: Microsoft XML Parser and SDK -- Installation failed.
------

running win2kpro sp4.

any ideas?

bingo. at least the event log messages make sense now.

mis dept had installed sus a while back. must've acquired
an msxml patch a few days ago and is trying to ram it down my
box's throat. not sure why it crashes the pc but knowing this
is half the battle.
