Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the second half of my browser
identity means? (.NET CLR 1.1.4322)

I regularly get Windows security updates - is this why
this has been appended to my browser identity? Or is it
spyware/tracking program?

If the latter, how do I get rid of it?

Many thanks

Hi Curtis,

Thanks for your reply. Read the link and associated
articles. I can see now that the integration of SQL
Server and .Net has several advantages, and I assume .NET
CLR has appended itself to my IE6 browser as part of a
windows security update?

I'm thinking particularly of:

"Enhanced safety and security: Managed code runs in a
common language run-time environment, hosted by the
database engine. This allows .NET database objects to be
safer and more secure than the extended stored procedures
available in earlier versions of SQL Server."

Kind regards,

Anthony
