Hi all,
I will have to make a MSI installer for our application. Our application
is already having it's own way of updating so this is done via our
custom update feature, not via the installer feature.
This also means that some files are deleted during this updates or some
are added new (like a normal update but it's not done through the
installer).
What happens when the user wants to uninstall at a later point the
application using the MSI installer taking in account that some
resources components might be missing (ie files taht were deleted during
previous updates)? Will the MSI fail silently to uninstall some
components or? Would something bad happen?
Thank you,
Viv
