System likes 1325 Mhz. As of yet my attempts have failed. YET! I attempted to force the issue in BIOS changing core value. Resulting with me reinstalling XP. So, any Ideas? Via KT400A chipset. AMD Athlon XP 2400 processor. MSI K7 (KT4AV) main board. I'll be reading for a solution rather than changing settings. Thanks Mike

Did you update the bios so that it would recognize newer processors?

Also make sure your FSB is set properly. It should be set to 133 mhz (the
multiplier is locked to 15x).

Thanks, thats the information I needed. I was unaware the multiplier was locked at 15. That would make the speed 1995, which is higher than the 1800 indicated in the package. It does make perfect sence though because system showed 1500 when the FSB is set at 100 mhz. Any futher thoughts I would welcome before I set the jumpers up to 133 from the current 100. Thanks for the Quick and most helpfrul response.
