Just upgraded to windows XP..
Now my Norton internet security and virus software does
not work. Have tried to unistall, that only half worked.
Doesnt show up in add and remove anymore but all folders
are still there. If I try to install using disk get a
message that says.. "The MSI must be lanched through
setup" I press ok and it say installed failed....
What is the 'MSI' and how do I get it
Ive been sreaching for days tring to figure this out
I sure hope someone can help....
Thank you
Dodie

.
A MSI is a Microsoft installer package, and here is the
link for Symantec's NIS removal tool, which you should run
and then do a clean type selective startup using
msconfig.exe so that you try the Norton setup again with
no other app running. After you more completely remove
both the anti-virus and the Internet Security, then reboot
with the msconfig.exe tool.
