msgina.dll---fast user switch
Hello everyone. I have a problem. There`s a convenient feature "Fast User
Switch". I can`t use it, though in Control Panel it`s enabled. Microsoft
articles database contains 3 reasons of it: offline files enabled, computer
is a part of a domain, or if the Graphical Identification and Authentication
file (Msgina.dll) is replaced by a third-party program. Microsoft RESOLUTION
is:
To restore the default Windows logon interface, remove the following string
value from theregistry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
Microsoft \Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GinaDLL.
After you do so, Windows uses the default Graphical Identification and
Authentication file (Msgina.dll).
But, I don`t have such a value in registry. However, I have it in different
location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\
Nls\MUILanguages\RCV2
there`s a "folder" named msgina.dll. It contains 3 keys: default, 0, 1.
And, on my computer there are 5 files named "msgina.dll" : 2 - in service
pack uninstall folder, 1- in C:\WINDOWS\system32, and 1 in
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\.
What exactly I have to do or remove or replace to get fast user switch back?
