Hi,
I used a maintainence tool (RFA) to clen up my registry but inadvertantly
clicked on a questionable item to remove the entry. The result is this:

c:\WINDOWS\system32\msfeeds.dll

Missing entry: Schedular.
I have tried to roll it back but to no avail. The scheduler is in the run
dll folder. This enables the MS auto update.

I have the exact same problem and so far have been unable to resolve
it. If I figure it out I'll post the solution nto this.

Internet 7 has been installed sucsessfully. Before this accident if I clicked
on MS update I went straight to ms d/load site but now I don't go anywhere. I
have visited this site and stuck it in my browser toolbar and can get the
updates from there. I get a run.dll message at boot but if I close this
window it reappears every 5 minutes.

What Rundll32 error are you getting at boot?

If you're getting a Rundll32 error at boot it means that Rundll32.exe
probably cannot find some .dll file that is supposed to load at boot.

Quite often this is caused by malware. Not always, but quite often.

Update your antivirus software and run a full system scan.

Update whatever anti-spyware applications that you have and run a full
system scan with each one.

You might need to start in Safe Mode to run your antivirus and anti-spyware
software.

Running a full system antivirus scan or anti-spyware scan in Safe Mode can
be a good idea. Some viruses and other malware like to conceal themselves
in areas Windows protects while using them. Safe mode will prevent those
applications access and therefore unprotect the viruses or other malware
allowing for easier removal.

Hi,
This is the message I get.....C:\WINDOWS\system32\msfeeds.dll
Missing Entry:Scheduler
I am only a novice and don't know about poking around in BIOS!

Your problem is related to a minor issue in IE7 Beta2 (and Beta2 Preview).

For the IE7 Beta 2, Microsoft is providing consumer customers with unlimited
phone support at no charge to users in North America, Germany and Japan!
They are doing this to encourage adoption because we feel that IE7 - even in
the beta stage - will help keep customers safer online and provide them with
an improved browsing experience. See
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/support/default.mspx

Beta testers of IE7 Public Preview are asked to post their comments to
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general newsgroup.

On the web:

Which - they or we?

Hi,
I use Panda security/antivirus/adaware/malaware/spybot and a whole host of
other detection programmes and nothing has been found doing a full sys scan.

So sandi is now in charge of IE. Wow. Not bad for a country bumpkin.

I don't mind using the Royal We on occasions.

We had sardines on toast for breckie this morning. We are about to go out but only if me, myself and I agree to.

You sure eat funny stuff down there. <w> At least you didn't put Marmite on
your toast, too.

Have a beetroot burger for lunch. My treat. (Send the bill to Sandi.)

I had vegemite and olive oil on toast after the sardines. And also a few hours before the sardines.

Well Guys....As a consultant chef in my own, mine and nobody elses right, I
can tell you that I had an IE7 sandwich and a bucket of fusion chips for
lunch! On a more seriouse note if you live in the UK do you get free phone
support? Also is there a way of turning off this message or stopping it from
running in the first place?

problem: when rebooting, you get the error that msfeed.dll is missing the
scheduler.
solution: Open IE7. Click on the Star on the right side for favorites.
Select Feeds. Pick one of the RSS feeds already listed such as the IEBlog. At
the top of the page that comes up, there will be a note about having IE
regularly check for updating feeds. Click on the link that will allow this.

Doing this causes the missing scheduler part to be (re)created, and things
work fine.

YMMV

yes....the problem has been resolved. I just redownloaded IE7 and the update
prog is now normal.
