MSDTC Missing

Hello all
My OS is Windows XP Sp2 Media Center
New Computer pre-installed with lots of stuff + anti-software I have had it
for one week I have Installed all updates, and now I find that in the
computer Management. (Services.) the Distributed Transaction Component
service is not there , I have tryed Windows-Restore but do`s not work and mmc
I can not go down the tree to My Computer and right click it to change the
settings.

Is it a Security Problem as well ?????
Can I reinstall it some way with out looseing all the update

Please Help

--PS I did a New user test on this last night but I did not sleep much and
got woried about it as I do my Banking on this machine

I Have 1 other xp pro sp2 to work this out but it a bit different to this
one as the w3svc.dll are in different folders , and this one has one dll
that is not-reconized

Wes has his own library of Error Reports and I will leave it to him to
advise on
your particular error. However, it would help him and you if you posted
better
copies of Error / Warning Reports from Event Viewer.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event Viewer.
Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of the
message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error Report.
Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer.

When you look for Reports in Event Viewer concentrate on the System
and Application logs. Look at a single boot / session and the sequence
of messages as one problems can lead to another. You need to provide
details of how the problem develops. However, avoid posting too many
reports in a single post.

Process Launcher” is set to "Automatic" mode. Go to Run -> “services.msc”,
and set “DCOM Server Process Launcher” to “Automatic”.

Sorry it took so long, I tryed to do to-many thing`s with the regastry so I
ended up haveing to restore windows. my-mistake. second mitake was I did`nt
tell you the make of computer it is. ( sorry again) HP Pavilion 061 it has
it`s own disk drive just to restore windows what I did not no was when I
restored the C: dirve it restored everything including XP updates and all
program`s and document`s acsept for explorer 7.
So it all turned out rely well in the end, as It run`s a hell of a lot
better now than a week a go when I got-it and I am more confedent nowing
working with this computer .
