I have used VSS and the MSDN library installed locally on my PC for more
than a Year. Suddenly the MSDN help has stopped working. I get this message
every time I try to use help :

"Action canceled
Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested.
The page might be temporarily unavailable
"
I have tried to reinstall MSDN, but that does not seem to help. Can anyone
please help?

IE is 6.0 the only upgrades I have is the Windows updates that MS sends out.

What is MVP by the way?

MVP Stands for Most Valuable Professional and is awarded by Microsoft for
contributions to the developer community (including these newsgroups) you
can read more about it here:-
www.microsoft.com/mvp/

As a further test what happens if you type this into your Internet Explorer
address bar:-
ms-help://MS.VSCC.2003/vsccCommon/html/vsccCommon_Start_Page.htm

This should bring up the default start page for visual studio help.

When you reinstalled MSDN did you do a Repair through the Add/Remove
programs or did you uninstall the entire MSDN library and then re-install?
