MSDE is about to be end of life'd by the SQL team, you would be installing
it at your own risk. A lot of customers installed it and deployed it on
their devices in the past, but you may have trouble servicing it in the near
future. Check out the SQL Express 2005 macro component we added to the
Feature Pack 2007 Tech Preview of XPe.
You can sign up for the Tech Preview build using these instructions and
download it immediately.
