Computer check w/Norton states above file missing and
cannot repair. I am novice. Thanks for any help

You are probably just trying to be a nice and helpful person.
Nevertheless Anna, or anyone else, would have to extremely
foolish to accept an executable file from a stranger on a
newsgroup. There are many weird and malicious people around, and
it just isn't worth the risk.
