Hi Sven,
I see that it's description is listed as "Microsoft .NET Runtime Execution Engine", so
your answer certainly seems reasonable. Any idea why the "Products Containing This
Version" listing in the .DLL Help Database does not include the .Net Framework?
I guess this means that Windows ME is puking on the .Net Framework!!

Actually, that dll is the core dll for the .NET Framework...

Hmmm.....searching the DLL Help Database, available at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=/servicedesks/fileversion/dllinfo.asp
seems to indicate that this .DLL file is not a component of Millennium Edition of Windows.
I see listings for Windows Server 2003 only. Are you sure your system should have this
file? It sounds like ME file protection is kicking in, and auto-deleting
it since it sees it as a foreign DLL (sort of like an immune response to a foreign
protein!).
