Brian

I have just built my new system and I want to change the start up.

But when I type in msconfig in the Run command the utility comes on for
about 3 seconds and then goes off?

How can I stop this from happening?

HELP, I going nuts

I'm using XP Home

Try opening up the Task Manager and ending task on all non-critial
functions. Then see if you can run msconfig. It may be that some
program that is running (which you end task on) is interfering with
it.

You REALLY shouldn't post valid e-mail addresses as spam bait, it's not fair
on those who own the domain. If it don't belong to you, then don't post it
unless it absolutely CAN'T be a valid address. It's rude

yoiu may have a virus..ie the worm_agobot.ao virus among others has this
effect(i know this first hand :-) )..they also do the same thing to regedit.
enter 'msconfig exits' into google groups for more info
