When I view the STARTUP file using the System
Configuration utility, I find a file being loaded that
indicates the location
as "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run";
however, there is NO STARTUP ITEM or COMMAND that is
associated with the item. So, I do not know what is being
loaded in the startup. I have disabled the loading of
this "file" for now. Does anyone know what this is and
why it is listed in the startup? Any help is much
appreciated.

Hi,

Is it for ICQnet?
If yes, it is of no harm to disable it in startup as you can always activate ICQ manually.

No, I do not have ICQnet installed. I have disabled it
from running at present and I do not seem to be
experiencing any problems.
Thanks for the reply... Glenn
