msconfig/startup

Not sure if this is the right group, but here goes. I am
trying to get to the system config utility on our "spare"
computer running Windows 2000. My daughter has loaded
some things that start every time computer starts up and
we don't want them to. When I go to "start" - "run" &
type in msconfig, I get the message: "Cannot find the
file "msconfig" (or one of its components). Make sure the
path and file name are correct and that all required
libraries are available".

Is this error fixable or is there another way to get to
that startup place so I can delete these programs from the
startup menu?

As per the thread: "What happened to .......... ", the msconfig does
not exist in W2K. I copied the msconfig.exe file from my XP machine
to the W2K machine and it works just fine. All we now need is a
registry entry (I think) which will enable to run msconfig like we're
used to - namely like you stated above.
