Msconfig startup cleanup

I have some items in the startup programs in msconfig
that for the life of me I cannot find a way to get them
out. The programs have long been removed and no
regcleaner that I have ran can find them either. All of
them show to be in:
SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\RUN
I have searched regedit with no luck. Am I stuck with
these things in there for life? BTW there is no HKLU or
HKLM in front of the SOFTWARE.

What's under here. If disabled MSConfig removes it from the location specified (else it wpouldn't be disabled).

As David said, the disabled startup items are moved here:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg]
