I have XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3, and when I click start
and run and msconfig, I get a message "Windows cannot find msconfig". A
search finds msconfig.exe at C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386. Can anyone
advise what the problem is?

Thanks for any help.

Click Start, Run. Type the following:

C:\Windows\pchealth\helpctr\binaries\msconfig.exe

Press {ENTER}

Does that launch the System Configuration Utility?

Thanks for your help. I still get error message Windows cannot find
C:\Windows\pchealth\helpctr\binaries\msconfig.exe.

A copy of the msconfig.exe file exists in the "c:\windows\system32\dllcache"
folder. If it's available, place a copy of the file to the following
location:

C:\Windows\pchealth\helpctr\binaries

If not, run the command "SFC /SCANNOW" from the Start/Run menu to start the
System File Checker.
