How do you know that it's missing? Exactly how did you try to find or
execute it?

Assuming that you are correct that it's missing, the reason is very
likely that you have a malware infection that has done it. What
anti-virus and anti-spyware software do you run, and are they up to
date?

running avast virus
spybot search & destroy
webroot spy sweeper
an windows defender
all updated an software are always up to date
when i type msconfig in the search dose not find it any more

Have you checked your Windows\system32 folder for msconfig.exe ???????

If you are using search, use the advanced search> search
hidden/system folders. If you go to the system32 folder
below Windows than go to the files list and type m you'll
jump to the m___ files. from there you may find msconfig.exe.
If it's not there, the malware agents may have removed it.
Too many spyware tools can conflict with each other causing
this type of problem.

Under All programs/Accessories is "Run". I put a shortcut to Run on my desktop, and use it to run msconfig or regedit. No need to search!
Of course if msconfig is missing from your computer it won't work.
