I am trying to track down why my modem causes a blue screen during boot.
One of the ways I was going to do that was to set msconfig to write a boot
log. If I choose that option, I suppose I now go to a non-standard boot
senario.
My question is, after boot I get a message with an icon in the system tray,
that states "Blocked Startup Programs". The program being blocked is
msconfig. It seems a little strange to me that a Windows program would be
blocked.
Anyone know exactly what must be done to allow this program to run? I have
checked and it appears none of the properties selection options are
available, probably since TrustedInstaller owns the program.
I am not entirely sure if a part of the utility isn't running and just the
pop-up window is being blocked. But it looks a little strange.
Thanks,
Clark
