I'm having a problem with periodic machine freeze-ups.
The program msckin.exe seems to be the culprit. It runs 99% of my proc, and
my machine stays at 100% cpu utilization (until it freezes again).
I have a Dell machine, 2.2 Ghz P4, 512mb ram, 120gb hd, xp home edition, so
i don't think my hardware is a problem.

does anyone know what msckin.exe is? Can I delete/rename it with impunity?

thanks,
Berry

I was looking for the same program on my task manager and
could not find it. You should find out where it came from
and delete it if you don't needed. Check Google.com. To
delete it use add/remove programs from control panel and
also do a search. Uncheck it from startup options as well.
