MSBlast patch prevents booting

I have just installed the MSBlast patch from microsoft,
and re-booted, but, just after it scans the CD Drives
looking for a windows disk it comes up with
"Disk Read Error
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reboot"

I cannot even boot from the windows CD. Is it my Hard
Drives? Or my CD Drives?


Can anyone help?

If you can't boot from the CD or the hard drive, it's not a software issue.
Could be motherboard, cables, drives...
