It won't allow me to save my settings. As a result it
doesn't run when scheduled. It never updates. It won't
save the scan preferences. And when selected from the
tray it always starts with the setup screen.

Are you logged in with Administrator rights? (you need to be).

The next thing to try would be to completely Uninstall Microsoft
AntiSpyware, download the latest build version, and try the Installation
again.

I am having the same problems...I am an Admin, I have
uninstalled is TWICE and it still will not save my
settings, it won't update becasue of this and it always
goes to the setup screen...I wish I had never updated ths
thing...Does anyone know how to get this working like it
was before the update?..
Thanks, G

Now there is a piece of counterproductive advice.

You should NOT be doing anything involving the internet
while logged in with Admin rights. Period. And the
software should recognize and deal with this.

The world is not yet perfect. MSAS does not yet work under anything other
than an Administrator account. If you wish to beta-test MSAS, then you must
do so using an account with Administrator rights. If you wish to stick to
non-Administrator accounts, then you should uninstall MSAS and discontinue
testing it.

I am having the same problem - no solution found yet.
I'll reply if I find any info on this.

I had the same problem this morning. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling,
but it didn't work. I then uninstalled, removed the program directory and
all registry entries. I then reistalled and it works correctly now.

B-)
