I am running Win2k Pro SP4 with the MSAS beta1 (of course). I have an
two issues.

1) The scheduler. I have it set to run every Friday of every week at
8AM. The thing just ran at 8AM today (Wednesday)! Any ideas?

2) The sig updater. I have the tool setup to download the latest
updates at daily at 8AM. The last one it grabbed was 5682 from 1/15/05
which i think is the latest (based off of other reports here). What
happened this morning, was that I looked in the about box and the
program had reverted itself to the original 5678 version that came with
the tool. I did a manual download three times and each time it told me
that the download finished and installed ok, but when i looked in the
about box, the update was not installed. On the third try, it went in.
Any ideas? I am running as an unprivileged user (power user) on my
computer if this helps any.

Thanks
James

James - these are two definite bugs--thanks for the report.

The appearance in Help, About, is in error. I've seen the same thing:

I look at a machine, and there's a notice from automatic update that 5682
has just been successfully downloaded and installed.

So I open the UI and look at Help, about, which says 5680.

I then go to File, check for updates, and it says quickly--everything
current. Back to Help, about, and it now reads 5682.

Bug--and acknowledged by Microsoft and on the list for fixes, as are myriad
issues with the scheduling function.
