Just thought that after three months and 81 pages of
posts that a working search engine would be useful. Many
issues/solutions are repeatedly cycled throught the
posts. A search would help reduce the repeats. Anyone
else agree?

Well, this search function is probably on purpose
disabled.

Maybe someone from MS lurking around can clarify this ?

These lurkers avoid this "cloak".

Hi Andre

This IS a disgrace for MS and against all users fighting
with spyware removals. Search functions must be available
also for this horrible webUI.

I cannot understand MS any longer, why ? ( Is it Ballmer ? )
 
Sure, but while other newsreaders, OE, and even Vista,
apparently, are available, it is not unreasonable to
expect a search to be available for this NG site. Search
engines are not cutting edge technology and are provided
on most newsgroups. In fact when search is clicked on
this site, a "new" version with "improved functionality"
is promised. Where is it? Obviously, many people are
using this site as it is, so a search is still needed
here. (This also applies to other MS Communities
Newsgroups, such as Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA),
which is identical to this site regarding searches.)

NNTP for me! Have you tried Outlook Express to read NG's?
