I used licensed source code from Softomate (softomate.com and
besttoolbars.net) to build an IE toolbar for my new network-based password
management service (see http://www.privasso.com). MSAS incorrectly
identifies my benign toolbar as the undesireable SearchIt toolbar. This is
because SearchIt is also built from Softomate code. I have made sure that my
PrivaSSO toolbar has different CLSID's from SearchIt, but MSAS is still
unhappy with a 'toolbar.crc' file that is installed in c:\downloaded program
files (and with several registry entries about this file). This file will
exist for multiple toolbars spawned from Softomate code. It is not an
appropriate signature for the SearchIt toolbar.
Who should I contact to sort out this problem?
