Hi y'all!
I'd kinda like to give MSAS a trial, because I've always heard
that Giant AS was a good product. But I haven't yet installed
SP2- it's still sitting on my desk in its cardboard envelope. I
don't want to install SP2 just yet for various reasons. Simple
question- can I install and run MSAS on an SP1 box? TIA.

Thanks, Joem. I usually use 'Total Uninstall' when I install a
program of this sort. It's much easier to really clean up all
the files and registry entries with T.U. if the need arises.
However, I don't anticipate uninstalling MSAS, except, of
course, when the finished version is released. But who
knows how far away that is? Maybe a good while.
From most of what I've seen on this and other boards,
people seem to like it, even though it does have a few
quirks, which can be expected with a beta release.

of what I've read

One minor thing to consider.

If a given spyware removal breaks the winsock LSP stack, the fix process is
quite a bit simpler in SP2 than it is in the older versions and Windows
2000. Here's the kb article giving the procedure, just in case:
