over and over again..from 5731 to 5733

Hello All,

a new workaround,
Empty you Temp Internet folder
Then click for update MSAS
Go to the Temp Internet folder
there are now 3 folders, look for the next 3 files in those folders
gcThreatAuditScanData[1].gcz
gcThreatAuditThreatData[1].gcz
gcDeterminationData[1].gcz
Ok change the .gcz annex to .zip
unzip them to the MSAS folder
Say yes to overwrite!
Then click upgrade MSAS
and no more useless upgrades!

Yes it is still a Beta!

Manually download the definitions for Microsoft

Antispyware Beta 1:

http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcDeterminationData.gcd
http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditScanData.gcd
http://download.spynet.com/ASDefinitions/gcThreatAuditThreatData.gcd

Save these files in your MSAS directory overwriting the
older definitions.

Tom,
You are correct. That's why they call it a Beta. I'm afraid that many of
our users aren't regular software crash dummies, and expect any beat to be
prime for production.
