Ben

I have read too much positive "Hype" about this program.
It hasn't done a thing since I installed it, and now that
I have Version 614 I can't even update the defintions.
I think the MS public relations department went into
overdrive to promote this mess, and it's about time the
software dept. went into overdrive to make it work.
I was OK without it, time to remove this program, I'm
glad it was free and will continue to be free, but whats
the use???? It doesn't do anything. See you guys in a few
months, maybe by December you will have everything fixed.
Good Luck!!!!!

Perhaps you have misunderstood something.

This is *not* a released program. This is a beta test. If you
download and run it, you should expect to find and report bugs.

If you aren't prepared for the consequences inherent in running
pre-release software, up to and including the possibility of
requiring a complete re-install of your operating system, you
shouldn't be running this program.

I feel you have the cart before the horse. At this stage of
development it's you helping Microsoft. When the product is released
(still free, by all reports) it will be Microsoft helping you.

Respectfully,
Bob Vanderveen

I've also uninstalled it for the time being. It did not
set up properly on a brand new computer, and I do not want
to risk messing up this computer. In addition to it not
updating signature definitions properly, it did not
activate, nor could I get it to activate, the various real-
time protection agents. And that was after many repair
installs, uninstalls, clearing my caches, etc.

I am not quite ready to switch to Counter Spy, because I
have a hunch it will not be long for this world if it is
only a clone of MSAS and a free, working-well MSAS gets
off the ground.

Your subject line says it all: "MSAS Beta..."
It is a Beta, and is constantly referred to as a Beta.

Hi Ben,
Thanks for your opinion, and Good Luck to you also.
