I have lost the above file - can anyone email me a copy?
What is it associated with ?
I'm not sure it's a valid windows file.
I think it's malware. You may have a reference to it in your
startup axis causing a message after the system boots.
If thats the case, remove the reference using msconfig/startup tab.

Thanks for your note. I am afraid I know very little
about computers -- what is: msconfig/startup tab?
You are right though about the message being caused
during bootup. Even before you get to desktop you hear
that noise that tells you something is wrong!

MSCONFIG is a very useful tool and all XP users eventually learn about
it!
click start/run/(type msconfig) and press enter.
Select the startup tab, and deselect the entry in question.
Reboot. If it gives a message about running in "selective mode"
check the box, press enter, and you should be in business.
