Why does MSA create the ~DF (ex. ~DF7B46.tmp) file? A new file is created by
MSA for each restart and machine turn-on. The files are never removd and
need used again after. After several months the files start occupying
megabytes of disk space. Why cannot the MSA remove old files?

That is a bug. Windows Defender (the successor to MS Antispyware) does
remove the 2 TEMP files it creates when you login.

Please consider upgrading to Windows Defender--the beta2 version of
Microsoft Antispyware. It doesn't have this behavior.

Here's the download link:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...E7-DA2B-4A6A-AFA4-F7F14E605A0D&displaylang=en

Download and run--it will remove the older version in place and upgrade.

There are lots of changes in the new version. Please don't be put off by
the lack of a tray icon--by default, it is present only if your attention is
needed.
