Windows 8 MS Works on Windows 8?

Long story so will not bore you with it, but will MS Works run on Windows 8?
One of my Mum's friends needs it installed on her new PC, guess who's doing it?:lol:
 
How old is the MS Works you have?

As a guide, any version of MS Office prior to 2003 will not work on Win 7 and as Win 8 is merely a tweaked version (SP2?) of Win 7 with a diabolical UI tacked on, that's likely the same case.

I wouldn't if I were you :eek:

I'd give odds that it won't work and it may even cause problems if they attempt to install it.

Consign the disk either to the dustbin or 'My interesting artifacts from a bygone age' collection.

Try Libre Office, it's free and will open MS Word & Excel documents.

Or shell out a gazillion pound coins for a new MS Office.
 
Maybe ... probably not. :rolleyes:

Go get LibreOffice ... it does work. :)

All I use from MS is the OS ... oh, and their AV program that wasn't really theirs anyway.
