Debbie

I am using MS Word 2000 and Access 2000. I have a series
of price pages setup in word - these documents contain
text, graphics and tables.

I have created an access database to setup the tables for
each price page (the prices change throughout the year)
and rather than have to key them into these 100's of word
documents it is easier to insert an increase rate in a
table to have it automatically update any pricing (there
is alot of logic in access to accomplish this).

Is there a way of comparing key field from word to access
or access to word - to populate the proper price to the
corresponding part number. One more twist, these price
pages change every year - the content and part numbers may
change. Which is why I believe it makes sense to connect
on part number.

Any advice will be greatly apprectiated.

Thank you.

Debbie

Hi Debbie,

Wouldn't it be simpler still to set up each Word table as a {DATABASE}
field linked to the appropriate query in Access?

Otherwise, these following links should give you some ideas:

Hi John,

Thank you. I don't understand your question. I don't have
tables in word. Are you suggesting that I setup word
tables?

Thanks

Deb

Debbie, you said in your original message that you have tables in Word:

I'm suggesting that instead of struggling to update the contents of Word
tables from Access you should use Word {DATABASE} fields linked to
Access.
