MS-Word HTML cleaner?

I found an on-line MS-Word HTML cleaner at:

But is there any such program as offline freeware?

I think I heard about a program which cleans Word files from a lot of MS
junk, but I forgot where to find it. I am interested in cleaning both
ordinary Word files and Word HTML files.

If you have notetab lite, there is a clipbook which does this.

Thanks, and to Bjorn too, I will try all the suggestions, plus html-tidy
which is maybe another good solution.
