We currently have approx. 2000 word .doc files that we need to be able to
add a time/date stamp. We need to be able to accomplish this by selecting
all the files and having the script/program enter the time/date stamp on
the document so that it appears when the document is printed. Does anyone
know if this is possible? How would we go about doing this? Thanks.

Modify the macro in the article “Find & ReplaceAll on a batch of documents
in the same folder” at:

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/BatchFR.htm

so that it inserts a { PRINTDATE } field into the Headers or Footers of the
documents.

Note that the PrintDate field will need to have the appropriate switch to
include both date and time. See
