Dear all,
I have set up a windows 2000 Server machine to run MS VPN via RAS. I
am having the following issues.
I am having issues whereby I am unable to get the registered domain
name that is on the internet (for non-vpn connections) to map to the
local address when they are connected to the VPN (CNAME record on the
DNS).
Despite the set-up in which I only specify 2 DNS servers via the DHCP
settings, I am getting that plus the DNS servers in our UK office,
which is very far away, and by default it keeps trying to obtain info
from that when I do an nslookup.
Trying to set it to manual DNS via the VPN connection settings didnt
help.
Also, on some locations it seems to behave terribly slow. Which could
very well tie up to this DNS issue.
It could also very well be tied with the AD structure, which we belong
to a sub-forest under the main forest so to speak.
Thanks for any help in advance!
